Rift Report: June 16th Edition
Welcome to another edition of Rift Report! This time we wanted to talk to our dev team to share some more insights on Zilean and his new ability in Wild Rift! Additionally we’re spotlighting another one of our amazing creators, let's dive in.
ZILEAN REWORK
Tick Tock, time is up! Zilean is coming to Wild Rift with a new look and an updated feel! It’s always an exciting moment when a new champion comes to Wild Rift. It means new gameplay opportunities, pretty new art, and a fresh way to play the game or your favorite role.
When we bring champions over from League PC to Wild Rift it's never easy as Crtl + C. The team spends a lot of time making sure every champion and their abilities feel justtt right when you’re tapping away on your phone. Wild Rift also plays a little differently than League PC, so sometimes there's room for us to make some tweaks so that champions kits fit the gameplay pace in our game. When it came time to bring Zilean over the team felt that there was room to give this old time mage some new tricks.
Zilean’s third ability, Temporal Mirage, allows him to slow down his foes or speed up his allies in League PC. But when the dev team was working on bringing him over to Wild Rift, they couldn’t help but wonder if there was a way to tweak this ability and make it feel better for Wild Rift gameplay. So, you’ll notice that Time Warp in Wild Rift will now allow you to throw down a circle that will slow down any abilities. The perfect way to make sure your carry can dodge that Ashe arrow. We’re really excited for you all to finally get your hands on him, and feel this new kit will make him a great Support to any team’s arsenal. CREATOR OF THE WEEK
New week, new creator to spotlight! We’ve been loving all the content that everyone has been creating during Patch 6.1. This time we want to showcase emerokWR. He’s been streaming and creating almost everyday. Our personal favorite was his video discussing the best junglers to play during 6.1. There have been a lot of jungle shakeups and balance changes, so it was great to listen to what he thinks were some of the best picks and try them out in-game ourselves. You can watch it here.
