Tonight, on Wild Rift:

A brand-new arrival steps onto the scene. Aurora’s here, and she’s bringing more than just icy vibes. We’ve got a fresh ranked season, a marksman glow-up, and gameplay pace changes that’ll keep you on your toes faster than a surprise text.

But that’s not all, we’re also launching our new Summer Party skins, and our brand-new Player Behavior system is finally here! And let’s just say, good behavior has never looked this good.

AURORA, THE WITCH BETWEEN WORLDS

From the moment she was born, Aurora navigated life with a unique ability to move between the spirit and material realms. Determined to learn more about the spirit realm's inhabitants, she left her home to further her research and happened upon a wayward demigod who'd become twisted and lost to time. Witnessing his desperation, Aurora resolved to find a way to help her feral friend regain his forgotten identity—a journey that would take her to the farthest reaches of the Freljord.

RANKED SEASON 18

We’re gearing up for the next season of ranked! You’ll be able to queue up for Season 18 of Ranked on July 18 at 03:00 UTC to earn this season's reward, Glorious Aigrette Galio. This season will end in October 2025, but please keep an eye on the Ranked interface for exact details.

WILD PASS

Fall down the rabbit hole with our latest Wild Pass, starring Wondertown Lillia and its upgraded version, Ascended Wondertown Lillia. Additionally, with this patch, we’re making a few updates to the Wild Pass, with better rewards and a more refined experience. Some of the other goodies you can earn in this Wild Pass are:

  • New Battle Ensign Wondertown, Wondertown-themed emote.

    • If you collect all the Wondertown theme items in the pass you’ll unlock an exclusive emote, Jumping For Joy, for free.

  • Returning skins include: Supervillain Jhin, Ascended Supervillain Jhin, Supervillain Graves, Ascended Supervillain Graves, Superhero Vi, Ascended Superhero Vi, Hexplorer Shyvana, and Dragonslayer Kayle.

We’ve optimized some of the missions that will help you level up your pass even faster:

  • Increased mission XP Gains: Earn more XP per mission for faster leveling.

  • Simplified Task Requirements: Lower difficulty and shorter completion time for a smoother experience.

  • Broader Applicability: Mission designs are now compatible with all game modes.

  • Redundant Missions Removed: Tasks like dragon/Baron kills, fruit collection, and forced lane/role assignments have been permanently removed.

  • Optimized Mission Structure: Fewer total tasks, with increased XP per mission.

Additionally, we’ve improved the returning skin experience: 

  • Treasure Chest Upgraded: Wild Pass Treasure Chest now becomes the “Wild Pass Trove.” After reaching the guaranteed draw threshold, you’ll now be able to directly select a desired skin as your final reward.

  • New [Mini Pass Returning Skin Track]: Dragonslayer Kayle will be featured in the “Mini Pass Returning Skin Track,” which shares level progress with the current Wild Pass. By leveling up, players can simultaneously unlock rewards in both tracks.

There is also a new bundle when you go to purchase your Wild Pass (Wild Pass & Mini Pass combo bundle): 

  • This bundle grants all core rewards from:

    • The current Elite Version of the Wild Pass.

    • The Elite Version of the upcoming Mini Pass (including its featured skin and chromas). Note: The bundle includes Mini Pass discounts by default; additional coupons cannot be applied.

Lastly, the “Battlecast” Mini Pass: 

  • After Wondertown ends, the new “Battlecast” Mini Pass featuring Battlecast Urgot and his chroma Battlecast Urgot (Black) will be available starting September 19, 2025.

  • The Mini Pass will feature its own level progression, exclusive rewards, and task system. Wild Star Usage: Wild Stars can be used in both the Wild Pass and Mini Pass while active. Unused stars will be reclaimed after the Mini Pass ends.

We’ve been battling in Bandle Rift for some time now, and as our exploration deepens, some items have become infused with Bandle magic, causing their mechanics to mutate.

ITEM ADJUSTMENTS

YORDLE REDEMPTION 

Base Stats 

  • Ability Haste: 20 → 15

Redemption 

  • This Effect can now be triggered with no ally champions nearby.

YORDLE SUNFIRE AEGIS 

Firepath 

  • At max Immolate stacks, leave behind a burning trail that deals magic damage equal to 7~10+0.3% bonus health, for a maximum of 5s.

  • Firepath deals 130% damage to Jungle camps, deals 175~250% to Minions.

YORDLE HARMONIC ECHO 

Base Stats 

  • Price: 2700 Gold → 2600 Gold

  • Ability Power: 55 → 40

Notes

  • Harmonic echo is applied to the main target, it bounces to a nearby allied champion, healing them for 50% of Harmonic Echo’s effect. Harmonic Echo also revitalized the main target, restoring 2% of their maximum health per second over 3 seconds.

YORDLE LIANDRY’S TORMENT 

Torment 

  • Damage per second: (0.4%+0.005% Ability Power) Enemy’s maximum health → 0.6%~2% Enemy’s maximum health

Infernal Agony 

  • Every 4s Torment deals damage to an enemy, it will detonate the target dealing (40+5% Ability Power) True Damage.

YORDLE INFINITY ORB 

Base Stats

  • Ability Power: 85 → 80

Thunderfall 

  • When an enemy champion dies within 3s of taking the Inevitable Demise effect, a lightning bolt strikes at the spot where they died, dealing (50~85+20%Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies.

YORDLE SERYLDA’S GRUDGE

Frostbite 

  • Apply Frostbite to enemies slowed by Icy for 6s, at 3 Frostbite stacks, all stacks are consumed to apply bleed on target, dealing (30~100+70%bonus Attack Damage) over 2s, also applies Grievous Wounds for 3s. (5s Cooldown)

YORDLE DUSKBLADE OF DRAKTHARR

  • Attack Damage: 55 → 50

Nightfall

  • Become invisible for 1s upon getting a kill. While invisible, gain 60% Movement Speed.(5s Cooldown)

YORDLE RUNAAN’S HURRICANE 

Wind’s Fury 

  • Mini Bolt additional range: 150 → 75

Wind’s Favor 

  • Gain 20 Attack Damage or 40 Ability Power (Adaptive) → Gain 15 Attack Damage or 30 Ability Power (Adaptive)

Razorwind 

  • Every 2 attacks, your next attack fires 1 additional bolt at targets, dealing 10% Attack power Physical Damage and applying on-hit effects.

CRITICAL STRIKE MARKSMAN REWORK 

We’ve made a batch of adjustments to marksman items, allowing marksman champions to gain greater benefits when selecting items that match their unique characteristics. In particular, we’ve focused on adjusting the stats and mechanics of critical strike items, empowering marksmen who opt for crit builds to have stronger late-game dominance and greater ability to close out matches.

  • When your attack Critically Strikes an enemy champion or an epic monster, summon a clone that lasts 4s to attack nearby enemies, the clone inherits 25% of your Attack Damage and additionally gains 30% of your Critical Rate as Attack speed. Up to two clones can exist at one time.

  • If a clone moves more than 600 units away from you, it will disappear early.

  • Your abilities deal up to 12% increased damage based on your Critical Rate.

MAGNETIC BLASTER

  • Attack Damage: 0 → 25

  • Attack Speed: 35% → 25%

Power Blitz 

  • Energized Attacks generation speed increased for 25%, it grants 125 additional range for your next attack (50 additional range for melee attacks) and deals 50-120 bonus magic damage, the damage of this effect bounces up to 5 nearby enemies and can Critically Strike → Energized Attacks gain 100 range (50 range for melee attacks), deal 50-120 bonus magic damage, and grant 60 Movement Speed for 0.75s. This Damage bounces up to 5 enemies and can Critically Strike. (Deals 20%-50% damage against minions.)

Death and Taxes [Adjustment]

  • Dealing damage that would leave an enemy champion below 5% maximum Health executes them →  Dealing damage that would leave an enemy champion below (4%+2% Critical Rate) executes them, permanently increasing the max health percentage execution threshold by 0.1%.


ESSENCE REAVER

Spellblade 

  • Casting an ability generates a Spellblade charge (max 3 charges) that lasts up to 10s. Hitting an enemy with an attack consumes a charge, dealing 90% base Attack Damage as physical damage and granting 40 Movement Speed for 2s, This Bonus damage can Critically Strike. Each ability generates only one charge per 2s.

  • Gain 7% Movement Speed for 3s when your attack hits a champion. Bonuses do not stack. After 4 attacks, Gain 25% Attack Speed in the same duration → Gain 25% Attack Speed and 7% Movement Speed for 3s when your attack hits a champion. Attacks that Critically Strike while the bonuses are active extend their duration by 1s. Bonuses do not stack. (20s Cooldown) Attacks reduce Cooldown by 1s.

INFINITY EDGE 

Limit Break 

  • When your total Critical Rate gain from items exceeds 100%, every 1% excess Critical Rate grants 0.6% Critical Strike Damage.

  • When you heal or shield an allied champion other than yourself, their attacks deal 20~40 Bonus magic damage for 6s → When you heal or shield an allied champion other than yourself, their attacks deal 16~30 bonus magic damage for 6s. This damage can Critically Strike.

ENCHANTED ITEMS REWORK

We’ve revamped the Enchantment items so that different types of champions of each lane are now offered suitable options. Several previously underused or difficult to use enchantments have been reworked, and we’ve introduced new ones to make champion matchups more dynamic and engaging.

STRIDEBREAKER 

Base Stats 

  • Enchantment Price: 500 Gold 

Breaking Shockwave (Active)

  • Activate to dash a short distance, dealing 150% Attack Damage as Physical Damage to nearby enemies and slowing them by 30% for 3s. (35s Cooldown)

GOREDRINKER 

Base Stats 

  • Enchantment Price: 500 Gold 

Thirsting Slash (Active)

  • Deal 280% Base Attack Damage as physical damage to nearby enemies. Restore Health equal to (20% Attack Damage+12% missing Health) for each enemy champion hit. (15s Cooldown)

GALEFORCE

Base Stats 

  • Enchantment Price: 500 Gold 

Cloudburst (Active)

  • Dash in a target direction and fire 3 missiles at the lowest Health Enemy near your destination, prioritizing champions. Deal 50~150+45% bonus attack damage as physical damage. (50s Cooldown)

GLORIOUS ENCHANT 

Glory (Active)

  • Gain 15% Movement Speed. When moving towards an enemy champion or turret, Gain 75% Movement Speed → (New) Gain 30% Movement Speed

  • Unleash a shockwave that slows enemy champions in range by 50% for 2s → Unleash a shockwave that slows enemy champions in range by 60% for 2s and grants 20% Tenacity and 20% Slow Resist for 3s.

STONEPLATE ENCHANT 

Stoneplate (Active)

  • Gain a base shield that absorbs damage equal to 28% of max Health → Gain a base shield that absorbs damage equal to 20% of max Health. Every 1 bonus Armor or Magic Resist you have increases the shield by 0.1%, up to 35% 

  • For every enemy nearby, gain an additional shield that absorbs damage equal to 10% of max Health, capped at 3 enemies → For every enemy nearby, gain an additional shield that absorbs damage equal to 5% of max Health. Every 1 bonus Armor or Magic Resist you have increases the shield by 0.1%, up to 12%, capped at 3 enemies.

REPULSOR ENCHANT 

Repulsor (Active) 

  • Cooldown: 60s → 40s

  • Knock back nearby enemies →  After a delay of 0.5s, knock back and stun nearby enemies for 1.25s.

PROTOBELT ENCHANT  

Protobelt (Active) 

  • Cooldown: 60s → 50s

  • Upon hitting the target, reduce the target's Magic Resist by 30% for 3s. After Cast, gain 20% Movement Speed that decays over 3s.

VEIL ENCHANT   

Veil (Active) 

  • Grants a spell shield blocking the next hostile ability for 3s → Remove disables and crowd control effects from a target allied champion. If the ally is not affected by any such effects, they gain a 3s spell shield that blocks the next hostile ability instead. (60s Cooldown)

DREAM MAKER 

Dream Maker

  • Gain a Blue Dream Bubble and a Purple Dream Bubble every 8s. Granting an ally active heals or shields blows both Dream Bubbles to them, empowering them for 3s → Gain a Blue Dream Bubble and a Purple Dream Bubble every 6s. Granting an ally active heals or shields blows both Dream Bubbles to them, empowering them for 3s.

  • The Blue Dream Bubble reduces their next incoming damage by 70~140, and the Purple Dream Bubble grants their next hit 20~90 bonus Magic Damage → Both Dream Bubbles grant their next hit 15~90 bonus Magic Damage and 15%~30% Movement Speed for 3s.


MAGNETRON ENCHANT 

Magnetron (Active)  

  • Cast towards an allied minion, allied champion, or Jungle monsters, you dash behind them and gain 30% Movement Speed for 1.5s → Cast in a target direction. If you hit an allied minion, allied champion, or wall, you dash to them and gain 30% Movement Speed for 1.5s. If no target is hit, 50% of cooldown is refunded.

RAVENOUS HYDRA 

Ravenous Crescent (Active)

  • Deal damage to nearby enemies and restore Health → When activated, your attacks over the next 9s deal physical damage equal to Attack Damage as splash damage to nearby enemies. Melee attacks deal splash damage in a bigger area than ranged attacks. (30s cooldown)

SUMMONER’S RIFT 

The magic of Bandle City has begun to ripple, bringing some strange and wondrous changes to the Rift. Some bushes have quietly shifted position under the influence of magic, and scouts ahead report the sounds of boars and war drums echoing in the distance. Now, join us as we set off to explore these magical new changes in Bandle Rift. 

BUSHES 

  • We’ve adjusted the position of certain bush areas to improve map visibility and make it easier for you to control vision. 

  • Some bushes have also been removed to reduce the danger in certain zones of the map. 

EASTER EGGS 

  • Placing a ward in a bush has a chance to grant you a small gold bonus.

  • Occasionally, small fish will gather in the river. When a champion walks by, they scatter in all directions. 

  • Destroying a Blast Cone may randomly trigger a festive firework effect! 

ENCHANTED PIGGY 

  • At 3:30 into the match, an Enchanted Piggy will spawn at both the Baron and Dragon pits. 

  • Defeating an Enchanted Piggy grants gold, experience, and summons a mini pig that automatically follows the player who landed the final blow. 

  • When the champion approaches an enemy attackable turret, the mini pig will charge into the turret, dealing true damage.


GAMEPLAY TEMPO ADJUSTMENTS 

To optimize your gameplay experience, we’ve made comprehensive adjustments to the overall tempo of the game, which will create a smoother overall pace. These changes aim to ease early-game coordination between lane players and junglers, reduce situations where you may face difficult choices or disagreements with your team, and lower the pressure of single mistakes. At the same time, these changes will also increase the impact if you have an advantage and diversify strategic paths to victory. 

We’ve made targeted changes to turrets, minion waves, strategic points, and the Nexus shield. Additionally, the stats and mechanics of epic jungle monsters have been adjusted. Both their spawn timings and rewards have been redistributed to better align with the new battlefield tempo.


TURRETS

  • Adjusted:
    • Outer Turret Plating Expiration Time:7:30 → 6:00
    • Turret Resistances (Armor/Magic Resist):25/65/105/185/265 → 15/55/85/145/265 (corresponding to 5/4/3/2/1 plating remaing)
    • Outer turret without plating: 25 → 50
    • Inner Turret Base Resistances (Armor/Magic Resist): 15 → 7
    • Gold for Destroying Inner Turret: 350 Gold → 450 Gold
    • Teamwide Gold for Destroying Inner Turret: 75 Gold per player → 100 Gold per player 
    • Outer Mid Lane Turret Attack Interval vs Minions: 1.2s → 1.35s
  • New:
    • Destroying the first Inner Turret on the battlefield, Bonus 100 Gold, Teamwide bonus 25 Gold.
    • If the first outer turret on a lane is destroyed before 9:00, its lane’s inner turret gains a 1500 HP shield lasting 30 seconds.
    • If the first inner turret is destroyed before 11:30, its lane’s next Inhibitor turret gains a 1600 HP shield for 30 seconds.

    • The Nexus Shield granted to the Nexus upon the first Nexus Turret being destroyed has been removed.

    • At the start of the match, the Nexus gains a shield equal to 100% of its max HP.
    • Starting from 12:00, the shield will gradually decay over time, and will fully disappear by 16:00.

ENCHANTED ENSEMBLE

    • Charge Damage to Turrets: 60% of turret's max HP → 50% of turret's max HP

SPELLS

With the adjustment to the overall gameplay tempo and the rework of enchantment items, we believe that Teleport is no longer suitable as an enchantment. Given its unique strategic value, we have reclassified it as a Spell

TELEPORT

  • After channeling for 3.5 seconds, teleport to an allied structure, champion, or ward (excludes areas in range of enemy inhibitors)
  • You can only teleport to structures during the first 6 minute(s) of the game.
  • Cooldown 180s.

SMITE

  • When equipped with the Smite spell, Gold and XP gain from dealing killing blows to minions are reduced.
    • Effect removal time: 7:30 → 6:00

BATTLEFEST SEASON 2 

Battlefest Season S1 will end on July 30 at 23:59:59 (UTC 0), and Battlefest Season S2 will officially begin on July 31 at 00:01 UTC. With the launch of Season 2, season medals and mode mastery will be reset. Based on your total points from Season 1, you'll receive bonus win-point boost matches to help you climb back to the top even faster!

Season 2 will also bring new rewards and gameplay challenge missions, so grab your friends and come join the fun in Battlefest! Stay tuned for an upcoming article on all the changes coming later this season when AAA ARAM, Arena, and Unbound Frenzy launch. 

ULTIMATE SPELLBOOK/SPELLBOOK ARAM 

  • Ancient magic reawakens! Immerse yourself in the brand-new Spellbook experience! 

  • There are over 30 brand-new ultimate and active abilities that have joined the spellbook lineup! Abilities like Highlander, World Ender, Umbral Trespass, Trueshot Barrage, Feast, and many other favorites are now available, with attribute adaptions added! 

  • You will also be able to not only choose your skills before the match, but also reselect during battle! Each in-game reselection grants a powerful stat bonus and an extra 300 gold.

ARAM 

  • Hullbreaker has been removed from all ARAM-related modes, including ARAM, AAA ARAM, Spellbook ARAM, and Duel.


NEW SYSTEMS

SOULFORCE AWAKENING PATCH THEME 

Awaken the mysterious energy deep within and reshape yourself to be even stronger than before!  This new patch theme is all about finding yourself. Play and level up your Soulforce Box to earn exclusive Aurora Chromas, including hidden variants. You can also unlock some fun new titles like “Mega Extrovert” and “Relentless Grinder.” You can read more about Soulforce Awakening here

“ALLY TARGET LOCK” TOGGLE 

Function Overview: 

  • When enabled, you can designate a controllable ally champion as a priority target. Castable ally-targeted skills (e.g., shields or heals) with smart cast will prioritize the locked ally. Tap the target icon again to unlock.
  • How to use:
    • Enable Ally Target Lock in the settings interface.
    • Tap the target icon on an allied champion to lock them.
    • Tap the icon again to remove the lock.

CONTEXTUAL SIGNALS

When certain conditions are met, contextual signals will appear in the top-right corner of the screen. You’ll now be able to quickly send precise pings with a single tap.

  • New Contextual Signal Types:
    • Group/Retreat alerts when epic monsters are about to spawn.
    • Buff alerts for Hand of Baron / Aspect of the Dragon.
    • Smite cooldown alert.
    • Lane opponent missing.
    • “Tank the dragon for me.”
    • “Low status, recalling.”
  • We’ve also optimized Poro VO:
    • Voice lines like “Enemy no flash” and “Enemy no ult” have been upgraded to contextual pings.

GRANDMASTER TIER NOW SPLIT INTO THREE SUBDIVISIONS — ASCEND TO CHALLENGER 

The Grandmaster (30-59 Diamonds) tier has been further divided into three new ranks: Grandmaster III, Grandmaster II, and Grandmaster I. This update also includes visual upgrades to make ranking up feel even more rewarding.

DEFEAT-SIDE SVP UPGRADE 

  • The SVP system has been optimized to now include three performance-based tiers: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. 
  • Gold and Silver SVPs will now receive Fortitude compensation in Ranked matches, or Legendary Energy compensation in Legendary Ranked mode. Even in defeat, your impactful plays won’t go unrewarded! 

NEW STARLIGHT SYSTEM  

  • Win in Legendary Ranked to earn Starlight, which can be redeemed for Star Cores. 
  • In Ranked, consuming a Star Core grants one extra segment per win (max eight per season). 
  • Use the Win Exchange system for fairer and more efficient ranked climbing. 

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT CENTER 

You can now free up some space on your device by removing non-essential resources that do not affect gameplay. Like 3D champion skin models, 2D splash art, and more. This will help you enjoy a lighter, smoother gameplay experience!

ETERNAL STARMARK — TOTAL ELIMINATION TRACKER 

  • Starting in Patch 6.2, the total number of takedowns you achieve using a specific champion will be recorded across core and casual modes (excluding Duels, Co-op vs. AI games, and custom games.) Players can view these stats in the champion profile interface. 

COLLECTOR SYSTEM UPDATE 

  • Collector Level Rewards have been reworked into the Hall of Eternity.
  • A new high-tier rank, “Beholder of Eternity”, has been added for top-level collectors. All previous Collector rewards are also now a part of the Hall of Eternity system.

SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS 

ROLE SELECTION SYSTEM 

  • In Ranked and Legendary Ranked modes, the original five position pre-selection has been updated to three role preferences: [Preferred Position], [Secondary Position], [Fill Position]
  • Players who are assigned to their Fill Position will receive compensation rewards, subject to a weekly limit. Full five-player premades and players with in-game violations will not receive Fill Position rewards.

SEASON-HIGHEST RANK DISPLAY  

  • In both the Profile and Profile card interfaces, the rank display for Ranked and Legendary Ranked has been updated. It will now show your highest rank achieved this season instead of your current rank.

RANK RESET ADJUSTMENT 

  • If you’re in the Gold to Diamond II tiers, placement reset adjustments have been made for the new season, resulting in a slight overall increase in reset rank placement. 

CHAMPION MASTERY SCORE  

  • Ranked Match score cap raised from 4000 to 4500. 
  • Performance score cap per match reduced from 5500 to 5000. 
  • Total Champion Mastery score cap remains unchanged.
  • Champion leaderboard thresholds:
    • Provincial: 3000 → 4000, National: 4000 → 6000
  • The champion score gain cap for Matchmade, ARAM, and 1v1 modes has been slightly reduced.

ADVENTURE MODE EXPERIENCE UPDATES 

  • New Battlefest season history, track all your fun moments!
  • New Loading Borders added! You can now show off your Battlefest medal level with dynamic borders. If you're a multimode challenger, you’ll love the richer and more dynamic visual effects.
  • A new “Peerless” title has been added. You can earn it by making the top ten with a champion four times. Titles will last for 45 days.
  • A dedicated explanation panel has been added under [Medal Info], which will allow you to view score requirements for specialization levels in currently available game modes.
  • A new score boost Indicator has been added! When score boosts are available, you can check the active boost mode, remaining bonus matches, and more directly from the mode selection screen.

LEADERBOARD AND CHAMPION HONORARY TITLE SYSTEM FEATURE OPTIMIZATIONS  

  • The Champion Honorary Title will now update weekly (Mon 5:00 UTC+0) instead of live.
  • When Honorary medals are granted, you will also receive an Honorary Title which can be equipped and displayed both in and out of your matches.
  • A new “Peerless” title has been added. You can earn it by making the top ten with a champion four times. Titles will last for 45 days.
  • Champions & Roles tab shows all-time and seasonal Honorary history, while the Season tab shows the highest Honorary Title of the current season.
  • In the Profile → Champion Display section, you can now select your top 3 highest Honorary champions to showcase. (If no honor is earned, the top 3 will default to highest mastery champions.)
  • Profile Card Frame now supports public display of champion Honorary Titles.
  • After updating to the latest patch, the first week of Honorary Titles will be distributed based on leaderboard standings as of Monday 00:00 (UTC+0).
