Wild Rift Patch Notes 6.3f

It’s our last balance patch of the year! Cozy up and read all about the upcoming rework to Zyra and other balance changes.

Grab some cocoa and cozy up, because it’s our last balance patch of the year and we’ve got a very spiky surprise in store. We’re giving the Rise of Thorns, Zyra, her rework this patch. You’ll be able to put all your foes in your very own greenhouse of doom. Whether you’re climbing the ranks or playing AAA ARAM with your friends, we hope this last balance patch of the year has something for everyone. CHAMPION CHANGES

ZYRA

Zyra’s plants have struggled to pack a punch, especially in the hands of skilled players, which doesn’t match our expectations for her identity as a “plant summoner.” To address this, we’re increasing the impact and presence of her plants within her overall kit. With proper plant usage, she should be able to create much more disruption for her enemies, rather than relying solely on casting spells safely from the backline.

Garden of Thorns

  • [Adjustment] Thorn Spitters Max Health: (20 ~ 272) + 25% Ability Power → (30 ~ 240) + (22% ~ 50%) Ability Power

  • [Adjustment] Thorn Spitters Damage: (10~80) + 13% Ability Power → (15 ~ 127) + 15% Ability Power

  • [Adjustment] Enemy Champion abilities damage to Thorn Spitters: 40% → 35%

  • [Adjustment] Thorn Spitters Damage to Monsters: Deal 50% Damage to Monsters  → Deal (15 + Champion Level × 2) Bonus Damage

  • [Adjustment] Thorn Spitters Attack Range: 575  →  550

  • [New] Non-Epic Monsters Deal 35% Damage to Plants 

  • [New] Ultimate Stranglethorns Spawns Thorn Spitters when it hits enemies

  • [New] Thorn Spitters can proc Morellonomicon

  • [New] Thorn Spitters can proc Oceanid's Trident

Deadly Spines

  • [Adjustment] Cooldown: 7/6.5/6/5.5s →  6.5/6/5.5/5s

  • [Adjustment] Bonus Damage: 50% Ability Power → 60% Ability Power

Rampant Growth

  • [Adjustment] Cooldown: 15/14/13/12s → 12/11/10/9s

  • [Rework] Zyra enrages all existing Thorn Spitters within an 11-meter radius around her. The Thorn Spitters become enraged, reset their remaining duration, and gain 35%/40%/45%/50% bonus health and 50% bonus attack speed

Grasping Roots

  • [Adjustment] Cast Range: 1000 → 900

Stranglethorns

  • [Adjustment] Damage: 170/250/330 + 60% Ability Power → 150/225/300 + 50% Ability Power

ZED

As an assassin, Zed’s skill gap is shadow-sized, so we’re trimming his energy costs to help players get a better handle on the dark arts.

Razor Shuriken

  • Energy Cost: 65/60/55/50 → 60/55/50/45

Living Shadow

  • When Zed and the his shadows hit the same target with the same ability, Regen Energy: 35/40/45/50 → 40/45/50/55

CAITLYN

Caitlyn’s been losing some of her mid-game aim, so we’re upping her Attack Damager per level to help her stay on target after lane.

Base Stats

  • Attack Damage per level: 4 → 4.5

JINX

Also affected by recent item changes, Jinx has been underperforming. We’re giving her some buffs to ensure she has strong enough combat power when she builds the appropriate items.

Switcheroo!

  • Fishbones (Rocket Launcher) Damage: 110% Attack Damage → 112% Attack Damage

MISS FORTUNE

Miss Fortune’s lane dominance was turning trades into misfortunes for everyone else, so we’re easing her early power while keeping her teamfight damage locked and loaded.

Double Up

  • Damage: 60/95/130/165 + 120/125/130/135% Attack Damage + 35% Ability Power → 60/90/120/150+112/120/128/136%Attack Damage + 35% Ability Power

KAYLE

Kayle’s late-game power was ascending a bit toooo divinely, especially with her immunity. We’re trimming her top-end damage so foes actually get a chance to fight back.

Base Stats

  • Movement Speed: 355 → 345

Starfire Spellblade

  • Passive Attack Bonus Base Damage: 12/15/18/21 → 10/13/16/19

Divine Judgment

  • Damage: 150/275/400 + 80% Ability Power + 100% Bonus Attack Damage → 150/225/300+60% Ability Power + 85% Bonus Attack Damage

KOG'MAW

Kog’Maw has been spiking a bit too early in the mid-game. So we’re reigning in some of that power so that he can truly feast in the late-game. 

Base Stats

  • Base Attack Damage: 58 → 54

Bio-Arcane Barrage

  • Attacks deal extra damage: (3/4/5/6% + 0.01% Ability Power) Target’s Max Health → 2/3/4/5% + 0.01% Ability Power) Target’s Max Health


GAMEPLAY CHANGES

ITEMS 

Ardent Censer

Support healing and shielding were too strong, so we’re reducing those values and let supports buy Ardent Censer earlier.

Base Stats 

  • Price: 2800 Gold → 2700 Gold (The build path remains the same, and the cost is reduced by 100 gold.)

  • Heal and Shield Power: 8% → 5%

Staff of Flowing Waters

Support healing and shielding were too strong, so we reduced support item power and adjusted Staff of Flowing Water’s stats.

Base Stats

  • Build Path: Lost Chapter (900 Gold) + Forbidden Idol (900 Gold) + 800 Gold → Fiendish Codex (1000 Gold) + Forbidden Idol (900 Gold) + 700 Gold

  • Price: unchanged

  • Maximum Mana: 300 → 0

  • Ability Haste: 10 → 20

  • Heal and Shield Power: 8% → 5%

Forbidden Idol

We’ve also adjusted this mid-tier item’s stats accordingly.

Base Attributes

  • Heal and Shield Power: 5% → 4%

Oceanid's Trident

Oceanid’s Trident became too strong after earlier shield-item nerfs. We’re keeping its shield-breaking role but lowering its base stats to make it more situational. 

Base Stats

  • Ability Power: 80 → 75

  • Ability Haste: 10 → 0

Zeke's Convergence

Zeke’s Convergence has been giving tank champions too much damage and extremely strong chase potential, allowing it to perform exceptionally well in any role. We’ve reduced its damage so that playing against it doesn’t feel overly punishing.

Harbinger

  • Damage: 480~900 → 320~600

  • Bonus Movement Speed: 55 → 40

Protobelt Enchant

We’ve reduced the damage of enchantment items to better align their power with their cost.

Protobelt (Active)

  • Reducing the Target’s Magic Resist: 15% → 12%

Galeforce

We’ve reduced the damage of enchantment items to better align their power with their cost.

Cloudburst (Active)

  • Damage: 50 ~ 150 + 45% Bonus Attack Damage → 40 ~ 120 + 35% Bonus Attack Damage

Goredrinker

We’ve reduced the damage of enchantment items to better align their power with their cost.

Thirsting Slash

  • Damage: 280% Base Attack Damage → 230% Base Attack Damage 

Stridebreaker

We’ve reduced the damage of enchantment items to better align their power with their cost.

Breaking Shock Wave

  • Damage: 150% Attack Damage → 120% Attack Damage 


GAME MODE CHANGES 

Howling Abyss Map Adjustments

Homeguard Mechanic

  • Homeguard is no longer active after the first turret is destroyed or after 5 minutes → Homeguard is now always active.
    • (This change affects all Howling Abyss maps, including ARAM, AAA ARAM, Spellbook ARAM, and Duel.)

Spawn Timer

  • At 11 minutes and beyond, respawn time 45 seconds → 40 seconds
    • (This change affects all Howling Abyss maps, including ARAM, AAA ARAM, Spellbook ARAM, and Duel.)

AAA ARAM

New Augments

This update we are introducing the Origin series of Augments, including Origin: Dark Harvest, Origin: Lethal Tempo and so on. A set of new powerful augments is also being added, like Hold Very Still, Clockwinder and more. Additionally, a selection of Augments is returning, including With Haste, Heart of Gold and some more favorites. We’re excited to see all the new combinations you come up with.

New AAA ARAM exclusive Easter Eggs

We’re introducing a batch of new random AAA ARAM exclusive Easter Eggs, including options like Sidestep Expert, Rabble Rousing, and more, giving all champions even more build variety and creative combo possibilities!

Turret Adjustment:

  • Inner Turret Base Armor and Magic Resistance: 50 → 150

  • Nexus Base Armor and Magic Resistance: 75 → 150

Champion Trophy

  • The number of Champion Trophies required to trigger the Easter Egg has been reduced from 10 to 5.

  • The Champion Trophy Easter Egg bonus health has been adjusted from 2000 → 1000.

Smaller and Smaller

  • Take Down →  Takedown or Kill Participation; Size decrease each stack: 5% → 2%.

Bigger and Bigger

  • Take Down → Takedown or Kill Participation; Size increase each stack: 5% → 2%.

Mecha Awakening

  1. Gain 1% progress per second.

Ace in the Hole

  • Base Damage: 50 ~ 150 → 50 ~ 150 + 80% Bonus Attack Damage + 40% Ability Power; Chance of triggering: 20% → 50%

FROZEN TOMB

  • The number of triggers has been reduced from 5 to 3
